Gym vs Home: Which One Is Better ?

There’s a really common question that many people ask, and that is: is it better to work out at home or at the gym ? The answer may seem obvious, but it’s not all that black and white. In this article I’ll give you the real answer, cause, as you know, I’m a beast (just kidding, I never boast for real)!

Well, it’s easy to say that working out at the gym is better, cause it really is, but certainly not for everyone. Working out at the gym is convenient for those who like to do exercises that can only be done there/ are more convenient when done at the gym. Those are exercises done on gym machines and I can really see why people like going to the gym more, as I also do. But working out isn’t limited by gym machines or weighted exercises, as there are so many variations you can’t think of all of them at once. Now I’ll tell you reasons why you may consider working out at home/ outside over working out at the gym.

First of all, if you’re a starter who lacks flexibility and hasn’t worked out in a while/ ever, bodyweight exercises can be good for the start. You can slowly get into working out by doing push-ups, and then decide if you want to up your “game workout game” or start going to the gym. If you decide to keep training at home you can by weights, and do weighted push-ups. You keep by a pull-up bar and start doing pull-ups, and if you combine it all you can progress really well by doing weighted push-ups and pull-ups, as you can increase the weight overtime. Barbells can also be bought, and if you do buy them you will have the ultimate home workout equipment ( and there are some items you can buy later too ). And of course you can always start going to the gym if you want to.

Second of all, if you’re struggling to make both ends meet, or there isn’t a close gym nearby, that’s another advantage of working out at home. It doesn’t take as much money (just the investment into equipment, which you can use for years if you take care of it) and there can’t be a more comfortable location than your house or apartment.

And yes, if you have money, make sure you don’t skip gym days saying you’re too “tired”, have a clear understanding of what to do in the gym you should definitely go there. I love the gym and love it’s atmosphere, the atmosphere of real workout, motivation, the bodybuilders helping out their students, exercises on all those various machines, but you don’t have to go there by any means.

I’m planning to give as much value as possible on Bodybeasts, and I hope you like my content as much as I like writing it. Stay tuned for more ! :)
